Uplifting lyrics with melancholic melodies  are very needed in times like these. Arlo Parks is a force to be reckoned with. Listen to “Hurt” on our New Impressions playlist.

sophie meiers has consistently impressed everyone with their youthful blend of hip-hop, R&B, lofi, and electronic elements. Nightly have finally announced their debut full length album. night, love you is set to be released on October 16th via BMG Recordings. The band announced the release alongside their newest single “Summer”. The album which was mostly written during quarantine will be comprised of 14 songs, including three previously released singles. “Summer” brings out more of Nightly’s carefree, anthemic feelings through song. On the album, vocalist Jonathan Capeci says, “From the beginning we’ve wanted to be an album band. ‘night, love you.’ was the sentiment behind the band name, so in a way this is our semi-self titled debut. It’s deeply personal, and we couldn’t be more proud of this record. All of it was created in Joey’s basement which feels full circle from where we started, making songs in a tiny apartment. All of the songs were written this year with the exception of the closing track which is one of the first songs we ever wrote. We always knew that we wanted to save it for our debut record, now it’s finally yours.”

Chloe Moriondo has graced us with another honest heartfelt tune. The young internet sensation has incorporated angsty elements among her delicate vocals. The lush chorus transports the song to a new place that makes it worthy of singing at the top of your lungs. Moriondo celebrated the release with an acoustic version on her YouTube channel.

The rest of the playlist this week includes new songs from internet sensations Carlie Hanson, Dreamers, Greyson Chance, and Bryce Vine. Stream our playlist on Spotify and hit follow to always be the first to hear our weekly choices.
