New Impressions: Jaden, The Japanese House, CHIKA, Chase Atlantic, and more!

Jaden is ready to wow listeners with his upcoming CTV3: Cool Tape Volume 3 release. “Rainbow Bap” is the latest of the record. It showcases his love for old school hip-hop, but still stays true to a modern day vibe with a hint of lo-fi. CTV3: Cool Tape Volume 3 is set to be released on August 28th via MSFTSMusic/Roc Nation Records. Watch the visualizer below.

The Japanese House has done it again with another flawless release. The Chewing Cotton Wool EP features four new songs from the Dirty Hit artists. One track in particular is stellar collaboration with Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver). The Japanese house has always been praised for her lush, anthemic tunes that seem to envelope you with their vulnerabilities and honesty. “Dionne” is a special tune and a standout form the EP. Stream “Dionne” on our New Impressions playlist.

CHIKA has had a pretty phenomenal week. Since Rolling Stone labeled her an “artist you need to know” back in March, she has been steadily climbing the industry ranks.  This week she was announced as a member of XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class. She rounded out the week with her uplifting tune “My Power”. The song is part of the soundtrack for Netflix’s new film “Project Power” starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The positive track asks everyone to embrace to their unique values and find out what their power is.

Chase Atlantic are back with “OUT THE ROOF”. The Australian trio continues their reign of dominating their blend of R&B/Hip-Hop with alternative tendencies. This the band’s first release of 2020 and it the visual ties in to the chaotic nature of today’s world. Watch the video below.

Other additions this week include another posthumous release from Mac Miller and a pop hit from Charlie Puth and blackbear. State Champs released a new unplugged EP that features three new songs from the Albany pop-punk band. We also featured new music from Yungblud with Denzel Curry, The Killers, and Ella Eyre.
