New Impressions: Women Dominate New Music Friday – New Songs from Dua Lipa, Jessie Reyez, Rosalia, and more!

Music is as daring as ever and women are continuing to push the envelope with their releases. This week we’ve been blessed with exciting new tracks from Dua Lipa, Jessie Reyez, Rosalia, and Hailee Steinfeld.

Dua Lipa. Dua Lipa. Dua Lipa. Need we say more? Her disco flare continues to assist her as she elevates pop music to new heights. “Break My Heart” is off her newest record Future Nostalgia.

Jessie Reyez pulled out all the stops for her debut record. Before Love Came To Kill Us explores heartbreaking themes and pure honesty through Reyez’s bilingual lens. Her album is a must listen from beginning to end. Our favorite tracks include “Coffin” which features a verse from Eminem and “I Do”. Jessie’s remaining tour dates with Billie Eilish are postponed at the moment, but these songs are going to be killer when she’s back out on the stage soon. Watch the music video for “I Do” below.

Hailee Steinfeld comes back as strong as ever. Her vulnerabilities always shine through with her graceful pop hits. “I Love You’s” is her latest as she dives into the neverending excuses that can come up when you’re trying to salvage a relationship. “I Love You’s” is her second single of 2020. Can’t wait to hear more from Steinfeld this year.

Rosalia gave us another stunner. “Dolerme” hits all the sweet notes with well balanced production notes. Her use of autotune adds a dose of intricacy rather than leaning towards cheesy.

Other additions to the playlist this week include new music from Billy Raffoul, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Boy In Space. Listen to our New Impressions playlist here.
