The first full length record from Rex Orange County is here. Pony follows a path of storytelling through lyrics in a clear and introspective way. Each track offers a view into Alex O’Connor’s mind. The instrumentation seems to take a seat on the backburner for this record, but it works. It’s a great fall album and an easy listen. Simple Creatures is the brainchild of Mark Hoppus (Blink-182) and Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low). They released the official music video for their single “One Little Lie“. The trivia based video plays on the classic pop-up video episodes that used to be featured on TV. The duo released their Everything Opposite EP earlier this month. The EP almost didn’t make it to the ears of listeners after a rocky moment in the band which almost led to their demise. The Ruins is a triumphant comeback that is ushering in the new era of the band with new sounds and their signature anthemic sound. Their new documentary “In Ruins” will also be released on November 12th.
