New Impressions: mxmtoon, Jagwar Twin, Shaded, Lucy Dacus, Super Low, and more

mxmtoon has graced us with another melancholic ukulele tune. High & Dry is another glorious piece from the singer/songwriter that fully embraces her personality and poetic lyricism. Stream high & dry on our New Impressions playlist and don’t miss your chance to see her on tour this fall. You can view all of the dates of the Masquerade tour here.

Jagwar Twin have released a stripped down version of their song Dream/Dream. About the video the band says, “It’s impossible to ignore the current state of the world and the dehumanization happening around us all. No matter who you are, what color your skin is, what side of the imaginary line in the sand you were born, what circumstances you’ve experienced in the past, we should all be able to pursue our dreams equally.” Watch the black and white video below and catch the band supporting Avril Lavigne on tour this fall. Dates here.

UK band Shaded have released their second Common Ground Records single. Just Not Done is another exciting single from the band after having released their debut EP via the label last fall. Stream the new single on our New Impressions playlist.

Let’s all collectively thank Lucy Dacus for her anti-patriotism tune Forever Half Mast. Her mesmerizing vocals make each song a treat to listen to. A perfect song to stream for the upcoming holiday.

Shinedown currently have the #1 spot on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart with their single Monsters. The song has received an animated treatment for the music video. Watch the animated video below.

Super Low have delivered our dose of lo-fi of the week with the second single off their upcoming LP.  The track features honest and empathetic lyrics over a soaring melody that still feels bright and airy. Their self-titled record will be released on July 12th.

Other artists added to the playlist this week include Clairo and Neck Deep.
