New Impressions: Jonas Brothers, Khalid, Catalina, Kacey Musgraves, MAX, and more

The Jonas Brothers reunion is still in high gear and they have released another summer ready pop anthem. Cool features a great blend of gritty guitars with sweet Jo Bro falsetto and electro-pop elements. Watch the music video below. (Photo above by Ella McCook)

Khalid released his new album Free Spirit via RCA Records this Friday. The 21 year old Pop/R&B sensation teamed up with the one and only John Mayer for Outta My Head. The groovy track is beautiful melting pot of Mayer’s mesmerizing guitar skills and Khalid’s soothing smooth vocals.

Chilean singer-songwriter, Catalina premiered her new single with Sounds and Colours this week. The anthemic and exciting track features Caribbean influence, an addicting melody, and Catalina’s staple powerhouse vocals. A song so good we added BOTH the English and Spanish version of the track to our playlist.

Kacey Musgraves has breathed new life into a 90’s Brooks & Dunn song. The reboot of Neon Moon features twangy country elements with Kacey’s disco influenced country pop flare. Country isn’t featured on our New Impressions playlist very often, BUT Kacey Musgraves’ twist on modern country is always a go-to.

Other new additions to the playlist this week include, the new single from MAX and Quinn XCII, Love Me less, the fun and energetic track, The Chase, from Long Island band Swim, and one of the new Vampire Weekend tracks, This Life. Make our New Impressions playlist the soundtrack to your weekend and stream it on our sidebar.
