Prior to the Holmdel date of Warped Tour I had no idea who or what Yungblud was. Other acts on the festival were posting about him, but I just brushed it off thinking it was another Lil Something or Other teens were obsessed with. Don’t judge an act by its stage name because Yungblud was the best act all day. Although a commander of the Owly.fm stage, Yungblud could easily be on the mainstage and gather the attention of everyone within distance.
The talent, charisma, stage presence, and confidence of Yungblud was on the same level as that of a massive superstar that has been in the industry for decades. Yungblud has become known for performing “genre-bending protest songs” filled with passion and gender-fluid heart. At just 19 years of age, Yungblud has a debut record out (21st Century Liability) via Locomotion Records/Geffen Records. Yungblud will be heading out on a US headlining tour this fall.
