New Impressions: Young Culture, Lauv + Conan Gray, nightly, and more

Young Culture are really defining who they are as artists with their just released self-titled record. The band hosted a midnight zoom listening party with fans to celebrate the release. They’re still a relatively young band in the eyes of the alternative scene, but their dedicated fan base feels like they have loved them forever. The record feels like a breath of fresh air in the scene. The record features such a thoughtful and special blend of different sounds. With clear influences from pop and alternative, this is far from a one note record. Listen to “Laylo” on our New Impressions playlist.

Lauv and Conan Gray teamed up for the collab we ALL needed. Not bad for a first collaboration on Gray’s side. “Fake” is a soft pop hit that rings true to each of their sounds. Watch the colorful music video below.

Nashville based nightly released their debut album night, love you via BMG. As a somewhat self-titled debut, the album dives into personal problems and lays out their emotions for all to hear. In a deeply honest debut, nightly are showing exactly who they are while using bright, anthemic indie pop tunes that sometimes make you feel like you’re in a movie. Join nightly for some daydreaming on October 24th as they perform the album in its entirety via livestream. You can purchase tickets here.

Other additions to the playlist this week include songs from The Vamps, mazie, local natives, and Leon Bridges.
